Radio and the Youth Audience Report

Radio and the Youth Audience

There are many reasons why younger audiences listening to the radio, one of the main reasons for this is the fact that iPods are extremely popular and allow people to tailor their own music. Another reason may be the fact that radios just don’t appeal anymore, or it could be down to the fact that new radio presenters just don’t appeal, they may be too old or just don’t talk about what young people want to hear anymore.

There are a few ways to appeal to the younger audience again, like when the Olympics were on, broadcasting about that greatly increased the number of younger listeners. So broadcasting about current events could appeal, as well as maybe comedy shows based at a younger audience. Or playing more music with less dreary presenters and chat shows.
