Proposal

The one page synopsis must have:

The event which starts the story

The decisions and actions which the characters make to achieve a goal

The obstacles they encounter and how they overcome them

Whether they win or lose or achieve their goals

And the end of the films and where we leave the characters

You put this into your one page synopsis so when you are selling to directors or film makey people they want to make your film and give you money so you can make it. This gets them interested in your idea and choose yours over other films.

My idea

A cat cleans itself and then vomits up an E4 logo hair ball.




A dozy cat wakes up during the early afternoon to give himself a clean, licking his paws sleepily and mewing as he cleans his whiskers then yawns, but wretches suddenly and his eyes widen. Digging his claws into the purple cushion he was sleeping on his hair raises as he desperately tries to cough up his hair ball, but a slimy, hairy E4 logo hits the screen and slides down a little, smearing mucus and saliva on the screen. He smiles and curls up to sleep again.

Synopsis'

One sentence:
Two young girls are taken to a home in the country side with their father while their mother recovers from an illness in hospital, but they find forest spirits hidden around their home.




One paragraph:
Two sisters named Mei and Satsuki move into an old country house closer to their Mother, Yasuko, who is recovering from a long term illness in hospital with their Father. They find out that the house is inhabited by susuwatari which are small dark dust sprites which drift away, but in an attempt to follow them younger sister Mei runs into the forest surrounding the house. In which she finds a large cat like creature which she names Totoro. A few days later the sisters fight and Mei runs to the hospital which is miles away to give her Mother some corn she grew in an attempt to make her better faster, their neighbours manically try to look for them but Totoro brings her home. After returning home a few days later, while waiting for the bus to return with their Father on it in the rain, Totoro appears beside the two sisters and calls the many-legged cat bus which takes them to their mother's hospital, where they leave their home grown corn on her windowsill. And, to their joy, she does return.

Ideas for E4 animation

My first idea would be a chat show with a QI theme, perhaps bringing celebrities or guests onto the show, asking completely random questions and talking about completely stupid things, like watermelons.

My second idea would be a game, movie and TV show themed comedy show, making jokes about anything possible or reminiscing on the stupidity or inaccuracy of what goes on in them.

My third idea would be when the public ring up and we have a few rounds of quick fire questions which no one would ever know, like 'WHY IS MY HEAD MADE OF MAYONNAISE?!' and generally scare everyone who rings up for an hour or two.
